- Abstract
Maximum cylinder temperature in a ceramic coated diesel engine is higher than normal cooled diesel engine's. In order to determine the effect of maximum cylinder temperature on work output and efficiency, a dual cycle analysis taking into consideration maximum-work output and corresponding efficiency was performed. It was investigated the effect of injection timing in a higher temperature media comparing with the normal operation conditions. As a result, as the maximum cylinder temperature increases, the best performance was obtained with a lesser injection timing.
