- Authors

- Abstract
The article discusses the use of threshold concepts in revising the Association of College and Research Libraries' (ACRL) Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education. The criteria that can make a concept a threshold concept are identified, including transformative, integrative and irreversible criteria. The concepts are acknowledged for addressing an overload problem presented by G. P. Wiggins and J. McTighe.
