- Abstract
The article discusses a court case wherein the Bakers or the Native Alaskans and landowners filed a case against Exxon Shipping Co. The case concerns the damages done by Exxon Valdez to the livelihood of the fishermen in Alaska. The U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska decides that the company must pay a certain amount for the damages. However the U.S. Supreme Court reviews the case and decides that the decision was undue.
