- Abstract
The article reports that laboratories were urged by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to destroy their stocks of rinderpest virus. It states that the two organisations found that some of the virus-containing materials were being kept under insufficient levels of biosecurity in the process of cataloguing it. It says that the main priority of FAO and OIE was destroying the virus.
