Tapeworm controls to remain for travelling pets.
- Abstract
The article reports that the British Veterinary Association (BVA) and British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) have welcomed the decision of the European Union (EU) on regulation for travelling dogs in 2011. According to the new regulation, Great Britain and other three European member states can retain a requirement for dogs to be treated with tapeworms before entering their countries. The BSAVA and BVA were among the organisations lobbying for control of tapeworm be retained.
