- Authors
LONGORIA, EMILIO R.
- Abstract
The article discusses issues on eminent domain law and the Texas court's jurisprudence on compensable takings by analyzing the case involving the city of Houston and the organizers of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in Texas. Other topics include how the city took the show's property when it used its police powers to force its closure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections, and the reasons why eminent domain law values public good first over justice and fairness.
