- Abstract
The article examines a silver-stained glass vessel recovered from the excavations of the suburb of Saqunda in Cordoba, Spain, precisely dated from the mid-eighth century to 818 C.E. and gain insights into the transformational period in glassmaking following the Islamic conquest of the Mediterranean. Topics discussed include description of a stained glass (luster) fragment which is among the finds from the site, and reason the stained fragment is of major historical interest.
