The article provides a survey of case law related to qualified domestic relations order (QDRO) law in Florida. It examines cases from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s such as Blaine v. Blaine, Kay v. Kay, and Shannon v. Shumate that involve employer benefits for retirement and pensions for spouses. An examination of the U.S. Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 is also included.
