The article presents an analysis on the physical irreducibility of teleological phenomena and the arguments against the need for such reduction. It presents a comparison between teleological and causal explanations and asserts that the former is driven by one's notion of intentionality. It suggests the development of a scientific and Aristotelian-based conceptual framework that will accommodate the two kinds of explanation.
