- Abstract
Given the carbon footprint of air travel and solid waste associated with trade shows, it would appear that sustainability and business events are mutually exclusive. Corporate event marketing, however, can serve as an important tool for companies that want to demonstrate their corporate values in visible and meaningful ways. The experiences of Oracle Marketing in expanding its own corporate social responsibility efforts while designing and implementing various large-scale events worldwide offer a valuable template for marketing a business through innovative event planning that engages stakeholders while promoting and supporting organizational sustainability goals.
