- Authors
Strand, David
- Abstract
The article discusses views on the better understanding of meliorism in light of Socratic faith. The author explores Martin Heidegger's understanding of technology and Jean Francois Lyotard's exploration of modernity's legitimization crisis which arise the question on the choice of meliorism. The author asserts that pragmatic meliorism adhere to Socratic faith but is a reconstructed one which looks not to the otherworldly realms of justification.
