- Title
Enacting Change for Social Justice in Organizing.
- Authors
Huerta, Dolores
- Abstract
The author reflects on grass-roots organizing, an organization that enabled the workers to form their own union called the United Farm Workers. She says that when the UFW had the contracts, they change exactly the health statistics of the country, in which the workers did not have to work savagely hard and they had already their health plan. She stresses that it is their ultimate goal to help not only farmers but all workers unionize so that they can avail the benefits that they need.
