- Authors
LANDSMAN, ADAM
- Abstract
The article discusses a study which assessed the forces measured on the plantar surface of the foot while standing and walking in a Foot Defender, a device for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcerations, as compared to other standard controlled ankle motion (CAM) walkers. Topics covered include how the device's combination of materials and unique design protects the foot, and clinical case series that was conducted to demonstrate its efficacy in the management of diabetic foot ulcers.
