- Abstract
The article discusses the reflection of the way of brush to the strategic principles of the way of sword during Tang dynasty (618-906). The author stresses the calligraphy that represents a term from martial arts harmony. The author further stresses the structure of character movement of brush strokes in imitating human body and some of fundamental aspects of nature. The author refers the fundamental aspects to bones, flesh and sinews of each character and stabbing, hooking and slashing of the brushwork. The author notes that the fundamental aspects of brushing are also applied in swordplay. The author suggests daily practice and devotion for seamless and effortless demonstration of brush or sword with proper disciplined spontaneity.
