- Abstract
The article discusses the controversy over planet Pluto and how studying scientific controversies can increased science literacy. It states that before studying the controversy, students should research on facts and figures about Pluto and teachers should help in understanding scientific argumentation. It mentions that it represent how scientists use equipment and models to explore the boundary of science knowledge and by studying the Pluto dispute, students know the work of scientists.
