- Abstract
The article focuses on the Internet use to improve homework communication and its completion. According to the authors, with schools increasingly adopting new learning standards, students with disabilities, being educated in inclusive settings are likely to face many challenges. Expectation to successfully complete significant amounts of work assignments, is one such challenge. As the Internet offers a direct, effective, and novel method for communicating varied information that can be accessed at the convenience of its users, it can serve as an interactive tool for individualizing homework and supporting the involvement of families in the homework process. Though a Web-based homework instruction system holds great promise for facilitating the homework process, it is not a panacea. Several factors can limit its use and effectiveness, and need to be addressed.
