- Abstract
The article explores the multiple identifications of the Fiume printers during the last decades of the Habsburg monarchy. Topics discussed include background on Fiume, an Italian-speaking enclave in Hungary, information on the growth of the printing industry in Fiume, and factors that influence printers' socioeconomic position in Fiume. It also mentions the establishment of a typographers' association in Fiume in 1883 and role of social activities in professional cohesion.
