- Abstract
J. Sep. Sci. 2017, 40, 2827–2837 DOI: 10.1002/jssc.201601454 The cover picture shows that ultra‐high performance supercritical fluid chromatography could be an appropriate tool to achieve baseline separation of twelve common dietary isoflavones, which possess the same skeleton structure. The elution order of isoflavones was mainly attributed to polar interactions, which led to increased retention of compounds with increased molecular polarity corresponding to the behavior in normal‐phase liquid chromatography. For example, the dipole moment is in positive correlation with molecule polarity. The value of puerarin is bigger than that of daidzin so that former was eluted after the latter.
