The article discusses the link between preterm birth and fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and extreme heat. Also cited are the retrospective cohort study published in "Environmental Health Perspective" showing that air pollution and heat are associated to higher risk of preterm birth in Guangzhou, China, as well as the comment of lead author Cunrui Huang of Sun Yatsen University on their study.
