The article presents a study on diversity and functions of endophytes of tea plants. Topics discussed include ways in which endophytes live inside plant tissues without causing apparent harm to their hosts; use of endophytes as potential candidates to use as substitutes for agrochemicals; and variation in endophytic fungal composition depending on cultivar, tissue type, and pesticide application.
