- Abstract
The article focuses on the Current Employment Statistics (CES) program survey conducted by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) every month. It surveys about 146,000 businesses and government agencies, which represent approximately 623,000 worksites in the country. The CES is abled to produce detailed industry estimates from data collected on employment, hours, and earnings on the basis of payroll records of nonfarm business establishments.
