- Abstract
Women as an individual, encounter many positive and negative traditional approaches while trying to exist in societies. These approaches are related to the "concept of woman" which is only in narratives and myths from past to present. Whereas in the past, women who were born guilty with their bodies, thoughts and creations were able to overcome most of their problems by taking refuge in feminism, today they can make their voices heard in every field by opening only one hashtag in new media channels. Comics are another area in which women are reflected only with certain patterns as a visual image, such as characterizing the value attributed to women or the concept of femininity with adjectives such as mother and wife in daily life. Therefore, the discipline of comics enables female characters to become objects of popular culture by objectifying them. In this study, motion comic book application "Tomris: Women of the Kingdom of Dreams" created based on the myth of "Amazon Women" in cultural narratives is discussed in the context of Fourth Wave Feminism. In this context, data and samples obtained over Turkey in the field of women's studies and the lack of reference to the comics and research proposal has been finalized.
