- Abstract
The article focuses on violating the taboos of sex and religion, Faḍīla al-Fārūq's cause is the status and identity of women imprisoned in the domestic realm. Topics include how woman becomes a terrain with different discourses on social practices, beliefs, and religious discourses merge; and how women loses self-ownership and identity, before becoming a site of affirmation, self-emancipation and social norm in Maghrebi literature.
