- Abstract
The polluting emissions of products derived from coal and oil, and especially CO2, which appears whenever there are combustion reactions, is a parameter that has a direct effect on the biosphere as a greenhouse gas, which, although enormous the regenerative power of the atmosphere and the hydrosphere is being far exceeded today. The current car is one of the elements that contribute to climate change. The most effective way to reduce emissions is, logically, by reducing fuel consumption or changing energy sources for those that do not produce harmful emissions. Vehicle Technical Inspection Stations are control and industrial safety agencies responsible for ensuring that vehicles are in a perfect state of conservation and maintenance, in order to ensure road safety and that polluting emissions are at certain values. Moreover, since spark ignition engines are going to replace gasoline and diesel fuels with a huge variety of other fuels, they have a significant challenge to face in the coming years.
