- Abstract
The article presents information on four adult Indo-Pacific red lionfishes, Pterois volitans, observed in the Abacos on Little Bahama Bank in Bahamas in August 2006. The Redlion fishes measuring about 250 mm in length were found in a limestone solution hole in water near Great Sale Cay on July 29, 2006. Two additional Redlion fishes measuring about 230 mm in length were found in a sunken steel barge in water near Walkers Cay. The Redlionfishes are increasing in the shelf waters of the east coast of the U.S.
