- Abstract
The first European conference about human formation and abuses prevention, organized by the Archdiocese of Florence with the collaboration of the Faculty of Theology of Central Italy and the Pontifical Gregorian University is addressed to psychologists, psychiatrists, pastoral psychologists and formators working for and in Major and Minor Seminaries and formation houses of Religious Orders and Congregations in Europe has been held in Florence. With the support of the Congregation for the Clergy, the Consilium Conferentiarum Episcoporum Europae and the Italian Episcopal Conference, it has been the occasion to focus on the importance of human formation in initial and ongoing formation and to learn about different scientific and practical approaches in screening/ assessment, accompaniment and interventions in seminaries and formation houses for Religious, especially atafter the publication of the new Ratio Fundamentalis Institutionis Sacerdotalis. Over 300 participants from all Europe and Italy with important interventions by national and international speakers as Card. Angelo Bagnasco, Mons. Jorge Carlos Patron Wong, Baroness Prof. Sheila Hollins, Stefano Guarinelli, Andrea Peruffo and Mons. Domenico Dal Molin.
