- Abstract
The article presents information on legal developments in marketing relative to the regulation of channels of distribution. Pertaining to the issue of exclusive dealing arrangements, the author cites the cases of United States v. Arnold, Schwinn & Co. and United States v. Sealy Inc. Also noted is the case of Kemper Insurance Cos. v. American Broadcasting-Paramount Theatres Inc., in which a group of insurance companies challenged a television network's marketing procedure as a violation of law concerning tying arrangements.
