- Abstract
The article presents legal developments in marketing relating to the regulation of channels of distribution. Regarding exclusive dealing arrangements and the relations between buyers and sellers, the United States Supreme Court cases The Atlantic Refining Co. v. Federal Trade Commission and The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company v. Federal Trade Commission are discussed, in which the United States Federal Trade Commission charged that a sales commission agreement between the two companies was an unfair method of competition in violation of the Federal Trade Commission Act.
