- Abstract
The purpose of this paper was to investigate the life and work of Dr. Richard M. Graham. The paper focuses on the time that Graham sewed as president of the National Association For Music Therapy. Specifically, this paper explores the changes in the Association and profession of music therapy during the years 1976-1978. The discussion centers around the role Graham had as president in relation to the restructuring of the National Association For Music Therapy. The restructuring included the establishment of the Executive Board and the Assembly of Delegates. Graham's role in music therapy at the national and international level is also discussed.
