The article discusses role of the U.S. in the alleged dispute regarding the sovereignty Senkakus islands in Japan, as of November 2014. It states that former U.S. President Richard Nixon withheld an affirmation regarding sovereignty of Japan over Senkakus and Nixon along with American diplomat Henry Kissinger supported Taiwan regarding the dispute. It cites possibilities of America's role in making negotiations between China and Japan on the Senkakus issue.
