- Abstract
In this article, registered veterinary nurse (RVN) Caroline Beckett discusses the clinical signs, diagnosis and treatment options for prostatitis in dogs and also reflects on the procedure regarding the prostatic wash. It mentions the clinical signs which include painful urination, urinary tract infection and painful defecation and also states about the diagnostic approach. It further discusses the treatment options which include antibiotic therapy, castration and hormone blocking therapy.
