The article discusses the significance of bells, focusing on their physical, artistic and historical importance and as instruments of music, spirituality, cosmology, and modalities in contemporary Bulgarian life. It states that Greek cities Thessaloniki and Ioannina are known for bell production and international trade during the late Ottoman period. It mentions the Bulgarian town Gotse Delchev that holds a significance of bells as symbols of the place.
