- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 27-year-old Italian woman with pigmented fungiform papillae of the tongue (PFPT). Topics discussed include her dermoscopy result which showed blue-grey pigmentation located on the tips and borders of the fungiform papillae, fading towards the centre, giving a rose-petal appearance and her biopsy result which revealed subepithelial melanophages with slight lymphocytic infiltrate in the superficial chorion showing focal change of interface dermatitis.
