- Abstract
The article analyzes the representation of grief in literary memoirs about disruptive losses marked by violence and explores the role of writing in the grieving process. It focuses on the work of Sara Jaramillo Klinkert and reveals the complexity of grief marked by homicide. It concludes that writing plays an important role in the grieving process by mobilizing the narrative of the wounded past and rescuing the father from forced oblivion. The text also discusses the author's experience after the violent death of her father and how death affected the children. It highlights how autobiographical writing becomes a tool to relocate the deceased father in memory and find a way to release and reorder life. The article also discusses the impact of grief in cases of sudden and violent loss, and mentions the importance of autobiographical writing as a way to reconstruct the bond with the lost loved one and find meaning in the loss. The text provides a list of bibliographic references related to the topic of grief and loss.
