- Abstract
Owing to the large number of power distribution equipment, the supply voltage is managed independently in 6.6‐kV medium‐voltage (MV) and 100‐V low‐voltage (LV) systems in Japanese distribution systems. Both systems have their respective independent allowable voltage range. We have studied the optimum allowable voltage range for MV and LV systems in order to reduce the equipment cost. In this study, we analyze the relationship between the maximum voltage drop and system configuration in an LV systems from the viewpoint of investment costs. © 2022 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.
