The authors reflect on the increased use of total knee replacement (TKR) and revision surgery. They suggest that the increase in infections associated with revision procedures is associated with the decreased length of stay and transition from the acute hospital setting. It is informed that the patient demographics are associated with primary and revision TKRs and complications.
