- Abstract
The article offers information about liver transplantation. Indications for liver transplantation include hepatitis C and hepatitis B, cirrhosis, biliary atresia in children, toxic hepatic failure, and hepatocellular carcinoma. People who have liver transplants demand intensive care and close monitoring following their operation. They must take immunosuppressive drugs for the rest of their lives. The transplanted liver is monitored for function and for rejection.
