- Abstract
The formation mechanism of the tearing curve of a woven fabric is analyzed theoretically in detail and the three indexes related yarn slipping in the tearing curve are found out,including the initial slope,peak up slope and distance between two peaks. In order to verify the feasibility of predicting the slippage performance by the three indexes, five different weave types of fabrics with different degrees of tightness are prepared and the relationships between the three indexes and the slippage performance of the fabrics are investigated. The experimental results show that the three indexes on the tearing curve of a woven fabric are closely related with the slippage performance of the fabric. It is feasible to predict the slippage performance by tearing property of a woven fabric.
