The article focuses on the problem of the non-justiciability of religious defamations, Topics discussed include English law has long held the principle that religions should be free from interference by the state in certain matters; protection of established Catholic Church from the powers of the state as the aim of non-justiciability; self-denying ordinance of neutrality; and English law which has otherwise been so deeply rooted in Christian principle.
