- Abstract
The article discusses the teaching of twentieth-century British history to French undergraduates. It highlights the efforts made by French teachers and scholars to "decenter" their focus and move away from an overly Anglo-centric approach. This includes exploring the complexities of inter-national relations within the UK, as well as addressing racial, class, and gender dynamics both within and outside the country. The article also mentions the challenges faced in balancing different perspectives and topics, as well as the need for a diverse range of primary sources. Overall, the French teaching field has shown adaptability and responsiveness to current research shifts.
