- Authors

- Abstract
The article offers information on the historical neglect of racism in 20th-century bioethics, highlighting a lack of scholarship addressing anti-Black racism and other forms of discrimination. Topics include the absence of racial or other discrimination discussions in leading bioethics textbooks, the replacement of "respect for persons" with "respect for decisional autonomy" in the Belmont Report, and the perpetuation of discrimination despite diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies.
