- Abstract
The article focuses on the discontinuities of Slovenian contemporary painting in the 1990s. The author discusses the territory of contemporary painting in Slovenia, which denotes the space created from a series of changes and shifts in the borders, social structures and attitudes in the country's tradition. The author mentions that Slovenian contemporary art was formulated in its detachment from the modernist tradition in the mid-1980s and mid-1990s. The author adds that the contemporary painting in the 1990s expressed the possibility of making a claim about the world.
