The authors reflect on the article "Posttreatment HRP2 Clearance in Patients with Uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum Malaria" by M. M. Plucinski and colleagues. They discuss the results of the study which offered insights on persistently positive assays for the Plasmodium falciparum HPR2 protein after treatment.
