- Authors
Hammond, Harmony
- Abstract
The essay comments on vandalism and offers the author's thoughts on censorship in art. Vandalism at the San Francisco Public Library's James C. Hormel Gay and Lesbian Center was salvaged by librarian James Van Buskirk and artists around the United States. "Represent Women: A Primer," "A Queer Reader," and "Portraits" were contributions made in response to the damaged works, "Representing Women," a book by Linda Nochlin and "A Queer Reader: 2500 Years of Homosexuality," edited by Patrick Higgins.
