Factors predicting the response to cyclosporin treatment in patients with chronic spontaneous urticaria: a systematic review. Patients who relapsed responded similarly to retreatment, supporting that therapeutic response is related to the CSU phenotype. Chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) causes a severe burden for the patient and treatment can be challenging.1 Ciclosporin is recommended as third line treatment and its efficacy has been shown in controlled trials.2 In a previous study, we showed that a subgroup of CSU patients with low IgE levels has a good response to ciclosporin.3 However, data on the evolution of these patients is lacking.
