- Title
A PROPOSED REVISION of YUMA POINT TERMINOLOGY.
- Authors
WORMINGTON, H. M.
- Abstract
The article presents a reprint of the article “A Proposed Revision of Yuma Point Terminology,” by H.M. Wormington, which appeared in the August 15, 1948 issue of the "Proceedings of the Colorado Museum of Natural History." It discusses the classification of stone age projectile points, focusing on those attributed to the Folsom and Yuma cultures. An argument is made that such attributions are often over-broad and inaccurate. Recommendations for a more precise system of nomenclature are provided, and reasons for adopting it are adduced.
