- Abstract
The article explores how the television series "Longmire" responds to the occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon from January 2 to February 11, 2016 and the white patriarchal ideology advanced by occupiers led by Ammon and Ryan Bundy. Topics covered include the function of land in Bundyite discourse, how the character Chance Gilbert epitomizes white patriarchal authority and how the series explores public lands as a domestic space.
