Abstract
The author reflects on the financial interests in drug discovery. The author cites pharmaceutical firm deciding on the best strategy in the advancement of its drug discovery program which asks for advice with top scientists which in return get paid for their advice. The author said that this scenario creates a competing financial interest (CFI). He mentions that one thing to worry about CFI is that they could lead to misconduct when he has a financial incentive to concoct data.
