Psoriasis: more than skin deep.
- Authors

- Abstract
This article informs that psoriasis develops through interactions between the skin and immune system. Psoriasis, an autoimmune disorder of the skin and joints, results from complex, aberrant relationships between the skin and immune system, as well as genetic makeup and factors in the environment. Another unmet challenge in fully understanding psoriasis has been linking the skin disease with the joint inflammation and destruction observed in psoriatic arthritis. epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase has been reported to induce phosphorylation of Stat3.
