Let's Talk About It: Helping Students Explore Their Feelings.
- Authors
Hewitt, Mary Beth
- Abstract
The article offers strategies to help young students understand and express their feelings in appropriate ways to avoid behavioral difficulties. Particular focus is given to the two types of how people manage their feelings and how they might play out in the classroom, those who are aggressive and those who are passive. Key reasons why students do not express their feelings are explored, along with the considerations for creating an environment where feelings are expressed with words.
